Hi there! I’m an award-winning journalist based in Glasgow currently working as a political reporter for The National.

My writing can also be found in The Economist, The Guardian, Vice, Wired, The New Statesman, The Week, OpenDemocracy, The Big Issue and Prospect Magazine among others. I mostly cover foreign affairs, politics and social justice.

I have also produced video content for French national broadcaster, France TV, and worked with brands and NGO’s including Snapchat, Plan International, The International Youth Foundation and Oxfam.

My work, including an investigation intro the torturous process sexual assault survivors at the United Nations go through and a longform article about a hidden society of lightning strike survivors, led to an MHP+ 30 To Watch Gold Award in 2021.

I also received a Scottish Refugee Council media award in 2024 and was shortlisted for an Amnesty International Media Award for human rights journalism in 2025 for an investigation which revealed two Palestinians were killed while waiting for the Home Office to waive its cruel fingerprint rules.

A masters graduate from Columbia University School of Journalism, I speak fluent French as well as decidedly sub-fluent Italian, German, and Swedish.
